Angola is bordered by Namibia to the south, Zambia to the east, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north. The Atlantic Ocean lies to the west of Angola, providing the country with a coastline of approximately 1,650 kilometers (1,025 miles). Angola has a population of approximately 36 million people. The majority of Angolans live in rural areas. The largest city is the capital city of Luanda.
